Welcome to Wulanda Recreation and Convention Centre


Wulanda Recreation and Convention Centre is a state-of-the-art multi-purpose sport, aquatic and conference facility in Mount Gambier.​​

Wulanda, meaning ‘enjoy or cherish’ in Bunganditj language, is a gathering place for all to participate in sports, recreation, community activities and events.

A new aquatic centre with a 25-metre lap pool, learn-to-swim pool, warm water program pool, and children’s splash pad has been built, and the existing 50m outdoor pool has been updated. In addition, six multi-purpose courts, change rooms and amenities, a gym and allied services provide ample opportunity to participate in sports and recreation.

Whether it is basketball, netball, futsal, volleyball, tennis, roller skating, badminton, or dance, this is the place to be. The health club will provide opportunities for all ages to maintain fitness, create social connections, and increase general wellness.

More than 1,000 people can attend conferences, events, and performances making Wulanda Recreation and Convention Centre the hub of community leisure activities in Mount Gambier.

  • Outdoor 50m Pool: 6am - 7.30pm
  • Indoor 25m and Learn to Swim Program Pool: 6am - 8pm
  • Indoor Splash Pad: 12pm - 5pm
  • Indoor Warm Water Pool*:
    • Monday, Wednesday and Friday 6am - 9am and 11am - 1pm and 6pm - 7.30pm 
    • Tuesday and Thursday 6am - 9am and 11am - 1pm

Saturday

  • Health Club: 7am - 6pm
  • Outdoor 50m Pool: 7am - 6pm
  • Indoor 25m and Learn to Swim Program Pool: 7am - 6pm
  • Indoor Splash Pad: 11am - 5pm

Please note:
*These are the Warm Water Pool public access hours, not including programs. 

The Centre will be closed on Good Friday, Christmas Day and Boxing Day and close at 5pm on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.

Archie Muller wins Pool Lifeguard of the year at 2024 Aquatic Industry Awards for Excellence

The Wulanda Recreation and Convention Centre is celebrating a major achievement, with their much-loved lifeguard, Archie Muller, named Pool Lifeguard of the Year at the prestigious 2024 Aquatic Industry Awards for Excellence. 

Hosted annually by Surf Life Saving South Australia, these awards honour the outstanding contributions of individuals and organisations that elevate the South Australian Aquatics Industry. Archie’s dedication and exemplary service were front and centre as he proudly accepted this distinguished award.
